Goal is to find harmony and happiness

“Arise Awake and Stop Not Till the Goal is Reached” – Swami Vivekananda

Who is to be blamed if there is no harmony within the family?

In any situation, when one finds oneself opposed, confronted, misunderstood, blamed or being overthrown,  one either feels angry or feels  depressed  or worried.

What is to be tackled here – your mind or him? Everybody wants to change the other person. What is the hidden situation here?

If you want the other person to change, should you not think about changing yourself?  Without ourselves changing, we cannot change others.

If there is disharmony then both are responsible for that and both have to change. This is simple logic.

How to purchase the harmony I seek in my life?

  1. Ask a simple question to yourself.  What do I want?
  2. What emotions or thoughts I need to have so that I can achieve what I want?
  3. What behavior of mine or my action will take me – move, towards this goal?
  4. On the other hand, what state of mind will take me away from my goal – my anger or forgiveness, my worry or my endurance (giving love in spite of not receiving), and my sadness or my fortitude?

If you are 100% sure that your anger or resentment or longing for love, care, affection can take you to harmony or the desired goal, you can have anything.

But once you decide (Itcha Sakthi) that only my endurance or forgiveness can achieve my goal then take the appropriate action (Kriya Sakthi) that is conducive to the goal of harmony, love and understanding.

In other words, your thought, your expression, and your behavior should be conducive towards your goal.

If you think that forgiveness, love and gratitude can achieve this, bring them in your thoughts, expressions and behavior.

The disadvantages of being in a state of victim

The only thing that may interfere in your progress is your ego.

A state of mind which cannot achieve what is desired is a state of victim.  Having known that this victim state cannot achieve, why do you hang on to it?

  • Not knowing that my state of mind prevents me from achieving my aim is the first blunder.
  • Having known that a particular state of mind – victim mentality, cannot achieve what you want and doing nothing about it is the second blunder.

Once you come to know that forgiveness alone, endurance alone, kindness and gratitude alone, can achieve what you want, then go all out for that, with full of courage and moral will.

This is what I meant when I said “BRING IN INTERNAL CHANGE”.

We may fail in the course of time. But don’t be upset over failure. Failure is just a reminder to correct our attitude and move forward.

Art of Reading Divine Messages

Understand the messages with the help of Bach Flower Remedies

Take Bach Flower Remedies VERVAIN and HEATHER to understand those messages.

Put the pills of Vervain and Heather in a bottle of water.  Take it with you.

Visit your neighboring park and with a research attitude note down all the words that you hear.

Sip the water now and then.

All words that you have captured, will give you a beautiful meaning to your life.

Alternatively, go to a temple and listen to the conversations that are going around.

Do this exercise, once in two months.

There are always three view points to an event

An event can be in the form of an incident or a conversation that we overhear or behavior of a person that we are attracted to and notice.

For an event, there can be three different viewpoints about it.

One is ours. When we analyze from our viewpoint, then it will be termed as a judgment about the event.

When we analyze from other man’s point of view, then it will be termed as an understanding of the event.

Finally, the third perspective would be the viewpoint of the divinity that’s expressed through the event.

The last viewpoint is the subject of our discussion.

Why we need to know divine messages behind an event?

There will be a lesson waiting for us, on how we should think and act, so that our journey moves towards divinity. To do that, we have to observe our life as a third person.

These divine messages also can come from children or sometimes even at the sight of a bird or an animal.

Do a bit of an analysis

If we listen dispassionately to a conversation that falls into our ears, there will be a divine message waiting for us.

Though, we have to do a bit of analysis and dig that message out.

Do that by asking the question – what is the divine message waiting for me here to be unraveled?

Analyzing like this is nothing but a form of meditation.

This helps us to go deeper within one self, making the mind travel within.

In general, the mind has the tendency to go out. But this exercise helps us to take it the reverse direction.

Therefore, a dispassionate observation is a must for us to follow.

Let you be guided by divine messages every day in every way

Divine message guides us in every way.

Daily seeking the message of God and keeping a Spiritual Journal is necessary.

This will help us to understand the messages delivered by god and direct us in various ways during the course of our lives.

I deserve the best!!

An exercise to get the best – taken from the book – “I Love Myself’ Workbook

Naran

Ask the questions…

1. What is your purchase behavior?
2. Do you go for cheap and best?
3. Or only for the best?

Analyze your attitudes behind your purchasing habits

The funny thing is both are opposites. If you want something cheaper then you won’t get the best. Likewise, if you want the best then you won’t get it cheap either.

When will you deserve best?

I deserve the best means then you should not be influenced by anybody else’s decision. When will “I deserve the best” happen?

First, you have to find out when you give something, whether you give it without any inhibition.

4. Ask the question before you give, “Am I giving this without any inhibition?”

We discriminate in our treatment to others

When we attend a wedding, we give some presentation. Whatever we have in our house, we pack it and give it. There is so much inhibition in giving what we have received from somebody else.

Even there we may differentiate from one person to another. Like for example, we might have decided in the mind that this should be given to Mr. A, while we should give something else to Mrs. B. We also quantify while giving, like so much to Mr. A and so much to Mrs. B.

However, we should not do either of them.

Why we don’t deserve the best

Suppose we have some costly item like a silver vessel. We think that it may cost Rs.1000. But, when you weigh the vessel, we find the value to be Rs.5000. So we think this person does not deserve this much costly and therefore we will buy him something else. If these behaviors are present in us then we will not get the best and we do not deserve the best.

How to be deserving for the best

While giving, you must give with full heart. These are the tests given by the Divine. If someone asks money we must give it. But at that time we may not have so much money. At that time you may not be in a position to give him money. Then give him Reiki.

The beggar is not asking for the money, but the divine is…

The beggar may beg for some money from you. The auto driver may demand money from you. There is no difference between the two. If he asks Rs.150 for a trip then give him as the Universe wants the money to go from your hand. Instead, if you hold the amount, eventually you may have to spend 10 times the money in a different way.

Whenever it has to be given, give it. It is not the auto driver who is asking the money, it is not the beggar who is begging for the money. On the other hand, to balance between receiving and giving the Universe is asking from you.

If you develop this kind of attitude, giving will not become prohibitive to you. You will give easily and there will not be any blocks inside you.

Giving on a No-cost Basis

If we have to give at any cost then we can send Reiki by chanting “I AM SORRY PLEASE FORGIVE ME LOVE THANKS DIVINE”.

However, do not allow others to exploit you

Giving does not mean that you should allow others to cheat you. If someone asks for donation, use your discretion. For paying the auto driver, when you travel occasionally by auto, then do not fight with him, but give him whatever he demands.

Getting Ready for the Next Job

Reply to Suja by Naran S. Balakumar

Read your mail.

You have not received a job offer yet, in spite of having completed your post-graduation as a rank holder nine months ago. I know that you have done your diploma in Business Management too.  Congratulations!

You have mentioned that you are feeling frustrated, dejected, getting angry, as well as blaming god and others for your situation. Given the situation this is the normal reaction we can expect from anyone.

Think Differently

What did you learn in your Management course? One has to think differently to find a solution. Therefore, think differently. Find out whether your thoughts and feelings are energizing you or they are draining you. These feelings will not only keep you in the same state of not getting a job, but will make your life stagnate too.

Get Into the State of Employment

Since you are a mathematics student, I will explain this in the form of a mathematical equation.

X = Y + 10, where X is the event of not getting a job and Y is your present state of mind. You do not have a direct influence over X. But, you can change Y into Y-1 or Y-2., which will in turn affect and change X. I mean, if you change your state of mind (Y), X cannot remain the same. Because Y has changed, X has to change too. Thus a state of unemployment will change into a state of employment.

Utilize the Lean Period

Think differently. You have to utilize this dark period. Accept that this period is necessary for you. May be the learning is not yet over for you. Academically it may be over. But, learning has to be continued. Learn something new in this period. You need not pay for a course. You can pick up lot of stuff from Internet. Learn something more about subjects that are allied to your specialisation. Enjoy the interviews that come your way. You will learn what you don’t know. Fill up those gaps. Learn to listen.

Increase your self-esteem

You can learn a lot by observing people. Learn to understand your existing relationships – with your family members, friends, and relatives. Move with them closely, express and communicate with love as if you were meeting them for the first time and as though this would be the last time you are going to meet them. Contribute something to them lovingly. Help them in any manner you can. It need not be financial. This will boost your self-confidence and enthusiasm. Normally one feels confident and enthusiastic only after getting the job. Now, you are acquiring this state before getting the job.

Period of Relaxation

This will also make you a better person. You will learn how to relate to your colleagues and superiors. When you are ready to learn anything new, then this period would become a period of relaxation, instead of a period of frustration.

Self-Mastery is the Key

Learn about yourself. Understanding your mental state will be highly beneficial. Write a journal of the emotions you are feeling for one week. Also write about your reactions to events as well as your behavior. Watch your emotions and thought patterns. Put everything in writing. To your surprise, you will find a pattern in your behavior. This is your mental state in the past. This is going to be the mental state for your future if you don’t make changes to yourself. Circumstances may change. Events may change. But this is you.

Fulfillment At last

Therefore, utilize this period to effect a change where necessary. Release what you don’t need and develop more what you need. This self-rectification will help you in self-actualization. Self-actualization is nothing but self-fulfillment in life. Job is offered by god. The employer is only a tool. God is your employer. He will always do what is right and is required by you.

Chant OM NAMO BAGAVATHE.

Best of luck

How to Handle Your Karma

(From Multi Dimensional Healing June 27 Workshop)

What is known as a karmic effect? Karma is not sin as many think. We have to come out of the thinking that we have done something wrong.

To learn something, mind has certain way of operating. One of the ways of operating is based on formula(s) a = b and cause is equal to effect. (B: C>E)That’s why karma effect has come in to our thinking process.

How to handle the present? Coming out of the emotions and be in the present is one way of nullifying our karmas.

When something happens all of us get any one of four types of emotions. First, the situation may kindle fear in us. If it’s persistent it becomes a worry. If problem is not solved then we feel sad. When nothing happens after so much of effort, then we get angry. Our mind knows only these four emotions.

If we come out of the emotions, the present is handled beautifully because our own habitual thoughts and emotions bring in the karmic effect.

Something happens and I react. If we react the same way we act like a robot. There is no difference in results. If I change the reaction – for example, if you become calm instead of getting angry, then your future also will change.

How to handle the present? God provides solutions thru nature. Use them to heal the present. Mudras, Flower Remedies help us come out of the ruling emotions.

Purpose of forgiving

By employing these techniques, we are healing ourselves. We have to categorically differentiate soul from mind. When we want to take revenge, it’s happening from the mind, not from the soul – which is only observing. The soul is beyond all these unwanted emotions.

Conscious mind will always make you think that there is a need for revenge and anger. Purpose of mantra is to correct the conscious mind. We do that help of the forgiving exercise. It’s an art which makes the other person think differently about you. It cuts our thinking pattern. We think we need to react to anger, while our true nature is to love and forgive.

Janma after Janma Same Story Same Endings

We are always living the same pattern for many Janma or lifetimes. That’s why we have met here again today. I would have taken class for you in my previous lifetime also.

How did we learn our emotional patterns – anger or sadness? We learnt from our parents. We live the life of our parents – who got their behaviour pattern from their parents. We are living out the same garbage.

During the last Janma, we had same or similar relationships and same behaviour and thinking patterns. How can one break these patterns? How to win over the mind and move spiritually? We will see that in the coming posts.
